More Fun At Bresee’s Winter Wonderland.
Short slide show from Team Four’s EcoVillage tour.
For the second time this semester, the generous folks at EcoVillage opened their hearts (and doors) to 20 Virgil/Bresee students, treating the kids to an inspiring time in their sustainable village that’s located at the north end of our short street, Bimini Place. EcoVillage supplied Bresee with four spirited tour guides who took four teams of kids through EcoVillage’s wonderful winding trails loaded with fruit trees, vegetable and herb gardens, chickens, compost, solar ovens and a lot more. All these kids walk by EcoVillage daily on their Safe Passage to Bresee but few had noticed the abundant life sprouting all around the two apartment buildings that compromise the main part of EcoVillage. Smiling faces all around were obvious by then end of the hour. A giant Thank You to all the EcoVillagers who participated in this wonderful collaboration to teach our kids that there is more to cities than cars and asphalt!

"Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him".
The kids at Bresee have plenty to smile about! Between games in free time, jokes among friends and fun with the staff, there are plenty of smiles and laughter to go around.
